    Low Testosterone at 18

Hello, I am posting about my test results which showed me too have 7.4 pg/dl free testosterone levels which is below the average for my age which is 18. I have never done steroids or pro hormones before. The most "hardcore" thing (which only an unknowledgeably people would call hardcore) is an EC stack. For a few months now I have felt like I've been exhibiting symptoms of low test but just credited it too my busy schedule but for a couple of weeks now I've been doing nothing but relaxing and still I'm exhibiting symptoms. The results worry me greatly, I am going to try using a natural test booster right away. I've seen that often the doctor will first prescribe Clomid to try to stimulate more test production. Right now I am considering getting Clomid on my own and getting another test done before going to the doctor who I feel might or might not blow me off and might just say that I'm a late bloomer or something. Any suggestions out there? Do you agree with what I'm considering or not? Any input will be appreciated.

I am not sure which stage of low test are you in at the moment but for your age low test should be temporary. Some men suffer low test between the age of 16 to 20, but it gets fixed naturally. Instead of trying yourself you should seek doctors advice. You are too young to play with tests

you will need to post up all the blood work with the ranges for someone to better help you out here. if its just low free test vitamin d mite be your answer. stay away from the test boosters as they can cause more harm then good. best of luck man.

I posted this in the same thread in the lounge,

You won't know until you get bloodwork done, and you shouldn't do ANYTHING to try and bolster your endogenous Testosterone level so as to ensure you haven't interfered with your body's endocrine system at this point. You want to know EXACTLY what is going on. You could be hypogonadal, or your endogenous Testosterone levels could be fine and your problems have a different cause.

Godfather makes a good point about doing an MRI of the pituitary, but you need bloodwork done first as soon as possible.

If your free test is actually 7.4 confirmed by an actual testing of your levels, then yes you have a problem. If this is the case, natural test boosters and/or clomid will not fix the problem. You need actual medical attention. Why don't you try getting help from this boards lowtestosterone.com that's supposed to be opening soon.

I had low testosterone when I was 18 also. I was 5' 8" weight 145 and no matter what I couldn't gain any real weight/size. So it was obvious just like ever other 18 yr old I must have had low T. Then years later I learned how to eat/diet and it was no longer an issue.

Every 18 yr old is looking for an excuse/short cut to gain muscle. It takes time, dedication and proper diet. Without those then just be satisfied with who you are.

True, but if you've actually had your levels checked, which is what I thought this guy said, and your free test is actually as low as his test results showed, all the diet and training in the world isn't going to help.

Yes I understand that and I was being sarcastic. He has posted this in a couple different forms and it's pretty obvious he has actually had no blood work done he is only guessing on his numbers

It's just another 18 year old using the low testosterone excuse

Why is it too hard to believe that at 18 you can have low test...

I'm 19 and I also have low free testosterone... I've done my BW ans my SHBG are really too high and my free test is damn low...

n99, We need more info than only your free testosterone, it can be related to other things. I'm far from being an expert, but my low test is due to my high SHBG (because my test total is very high) so clomid or nolvadex wouldnt do any good to me. I need things to lower my SHBG. Maybe it'S not your LH the problem. Post your total result in trt forum so they will be able to help you.

But, I still agree with them, 18 YO is still too young to mess with it... but that's your choice I personnally prefer to go in trt than the amount of test i got now for the rest of my life. But take the time to try fixing it before abandon.

Like the guys above said. Don't touch anything. See the Finding A Doc Sticky thread in the HRT Forum and get that BW pulled. Then post it in that forum and we'll guide you along from there....

To kel and the other people trying to help thank-you. To the dicks just giving me shit since I'm 18: I actually did get blood tests done and do eat well. My total test is 276 and free is 7.4. I'm not trying to be a bodybuilder by any means or even very large for that matter. I'm just trying to be overall healthy and in good shape which isn't exactly easy to do if I have the testosterone levels of a 50 year old man at 18 years old which is when its supposed to be starting to peak.

    n99,

    Like KelKel said earlier...
You should post this in the hormone replacement therapy forum.

Many knowledgable members will help you there.
    Best of luck.

Hang in there 99. Get the BW somehow and post it up. We'll help. The BW will help direct which way to go with your case. It could be thyroid related, pituitary related, testicular issue or many other things. Right now we're throwing darts without the BW.

Thx Kel. I will post up in the HRT forum as soon as I get my results for the other things like LH and SHBG. Right now I only have my total and free testosterone levels.

Good deal if you post your blood work hopefully you will get steered in the right direction and find out why your test is low. TRT is the last resort at 18

Why I doubt you and others is from experience with 99% of the other kids your age and being there at one time. You may be the exception to the rule. Best of luck
