need advice

buddy ordered from my normal place ( not a website ) just a person

he wrote his zip code to fast and missed by one digit, just so happens the cities are neighboring and everything else on the address is correct. Name, numbers, street, city all correct.

From location A to location B , through the Post office is 3 days.

It has been 6 days if it doesnt come today.

he called the PO and asked what normally happens, they said it is first attempted to be delivered by zip, if it cant ( which i did check and there are no streets with same name in other zip) then it is attempted by city, if not deliverable then it is returned to sender ( which im sure would end up at no where ville)

option A: wait longer?
option B: call city Post of the wrong city and see if they have it, im sure they will ask all his info
option c: forget about it and move on

will anything bad happen?

I do a lot of shipping with the post office(auto parts)most of the time if a package gets lost it seem to just disapear and nobody ever knows where they end up.
