The right music for the right time

I'm trying to broaden my horizons, and listen to different music than i might otherwise lsiten to. I've been trying to listen to music that suits specific situations, as in the past I've only ever listened to gangster rap, 1990's rock/alternative, and metal.

While training I've started listening to newer rock/metal bands, and I've started listening to electronic during cardio. Never thought I'd say this, but dubstep is great for cardio!!!

Driving I've always listened to '90s music, tool, audioslave, STP, etc... I'm now trying modern rock, and kinda digging it.

When I'm with the wife we're now listening to Irish Folk, and we love it!!!

When I'm studying I'm now really into classical music, I love the Amsterdam Royal Concerto Orchestra.

So I'm wondering what other kinds of music you guys are into, stuff you think I should try, and when you listen to them. I'm trying to keep an open mind, so I'll check out anything

Also, I listen to Justin Bieber, but only when I masterbate to Miley Cyrus.

Or is it the other way around.....

I like old Blink 182, before take off your pants and jacket. Sum 41, although a Canadian band is to bubblegum punk for me, they're too much like Good Charlotte or Simple Plan.

A great way to find new bands is to find one you like and create a station on pandora. This station will then only play music by similar bands.

You should check out the Songza app. You can choose between your activity (working out, singing in shower, driving, taking nap...) depending on time of day & then choose your genre (rock, pop, hiphop, county, etc). It will let you choose a play list, then you can give the song a thumps up, or thumps down rating based on how you liked it.

Guess I'm a ledge alone here. But country is where it's at. Although I shuffle the 3000+ songs on my phone at the gym so at any given time...hip hop, rap, country, rock, classic rock, metal, reggae, Elvis, r&b old school and new, list goes on and on.

Can't do dupatep, electronic and techno though. I'm not kid anymore and or "on anything". Rave days are long gone.
