Fückin amps, I knew that this would happen....

Hi all, I'm fückin scared, I wanted to shoot susta today, opened the fückin amp, and saw more glass fragments in the towel. I thaught, if the fückin meds put steroids in amps, there will be a fückin reason. so before shooting, i put a drop on my fückin hand and tasted it with my tongue, and fückin was full of glass fragments!!!!! I said WTF!!!! I knew that this would happen. so I threw the fückin siringe away, and filled another one, this time by scratching the amp before with a knife. So who knows what I'm injecting, my fückin susta is legit, but what happens if shhit glass fragments are injected in your glutes??? does it absorbs by the blood and go to everywere, in my fückin brain and do mortal damage????? WTF I hate this things, I knew this amps are shiit, screw the inventor of that.
please tell me I won't get any infection or brain damage!!!

u can file it from that line they draw. just a little then snap it , you shouldnt have any troubles
u might have put alot of pressure that you broke the glass. just snap it and throw it away
AMPS are usually legit. while vials can be faked alot...

Dont worry bud ive had this loads and never had any probs its from just being too heavy handed try to do it with one hand next time and just do a quick sharp snap with your thumb it works every time even if a few are abit stubborn IT doesnt by any means mean there fake bud!

I asked my super bad ass pre med gf about this. She said she never had a problem with ampules and glass fragments or breakage.

Sounds like you brought it on by the way you are opening them.

Wash your hands. Wipe the amp down with a swab and grab it with both hands, thumb and index finger holding upright and snap the top off. Comes off nice and clean.
Draw the contents and shoot....

hi, the thing is, I never saw a freakin doctor opening an amp with a knife, a towel or an amp opener!!!! you break the amp, and glass-dust falls into the gear. and that is injected. big fragments, will stay in the muscle and maybe cause some infection. but wat wil happen with micro fragments?? maybe they will be absorbed in the blood, and go everywere in our body, who knows, in kidneys, liver, brain... WTF!!!! Glass will not be destroyed organically!!!! I mean, if meds do produce amps, they'll certainly have thought about that, and maybe its not an issue injecting glass pieces.... but it seems to crazy for me to understand that, so much sterility so much blablablá, and then there's fückin glass-dust in our Amps! I'll go to pharmacy tomorrow and get the freakin opener, but still... the opener will cut the glass, and by doing that, fragments or simply dust, will fall into the gear!

I agree with the fact they are less likely fake but the thought of injecting glass frags just concerns me. Just so you know I only have 1 cycle under me so I dont claim to be very knowledgeable with gear. I saw some amps when in HS and thought they were a bad idea then. I would do amps but I would use a filter needle.

Human grade gear is almost always in amp. I guess if you don't like it then go UGL

Filter it through a sterile cloth layers, glass frags won't go through that. You will want to make sure you don't filer it into some dirty old wineglass or something though....

I just realized Bro, there are filtered needles specifically for extraction from the ampules. Use a filtered needle for extraction, then screw on your stab needle. Problem solved. lol, try and use those next time.

If you're that paranoid buy a few filter pins.. If you break it right and don't use the Kung foo chop style of opening them you'll be fine. If you need to file them down you're doing it wrong.

In my 20+ yrs of using AMPS I have never injected any glass,,,i think that would be a bad idea.
You need to score the neck bettter and they should just snap off.

sounds like you were squeezing the lower portion with a pretty heavy hand while trying to snap the top. just hold the bottom firmly without squeezing . i've only ever used a small piece of tissue to break off the top and had a grand total of 1 crush on me out of all i've opened.

My hcg came in amps and I had a similar issue. Not as expensive but frustrating nevertheless. Some broke with no effort some shattered. I won't buy amps again.

As a nurse you're taught to change the needle on the syringe after drawing up from an amp. This is the safest way to inject when using amps.

I change the needle every time anyway. Get a Whatman filter if it makes you feel better. Or a amp opener which is like a little disc that you file around the neck a little then it snaps open. I have both.

You'll lose a third of your gear to the filter. Best advice for the op don't buy amps.

I think you're squeezing the top way too much. I've opened hundreds of amps and never had it shatter. Forget the towel, use the open alcoswab package, slip it over the top of the amp, and holding it GENTLY snap away from your face, don't squeeze when you snap. If you aren't using alcoswabs, use a 2x2 or a 4x4 to hold the top of the amp. Again, be gentle. It takes very little effort to snap off. Also, if it has a dot in the score, make sure it's facing you when you snap away.

I had this happen a couple times with some amps. I discarded1-2 of them but found if I was very careful I could avoid the glass breaking into small pieces. Definitely not worth injecting if you know there is glass in there.

All you have to do is run the top of the amp under boiling water then it snap it off with a thin towel wrapped round the top , comes off clean as a whistle every time , I thought everyone knew this?

I have a kettle that has a button you press and it slowly lets out boiling water , I turn it so its facing down slightly , run the water over the top for 5 seconds and then it works a treat , otherwise put a little boiling water in a cup , about 1 cm , put the amp in , leave for 5 seconds and has the same effect , when i first did a course years ago the guy I got them off told me it was the best way to do it , prob doesnt have to be boiling just very hot water will do the trick!

I always use a filter needle to wirthdraw in to my siringe (18G) ,then I change it with one 25G for the inj. I advise you to do the same.
