    Nyc

I'm heading to NYC in two weeks for the weekend, and I'm thinking about going to a Knicks game. I'm having trouble deciding if I should buy tickets online or I should try and scalp tickets because of the possibility of them being cheaper but it also comes with risks.

Also, any fun things to do down there? I'm going with two buddies and were meetings my buddy's girlfriend and we would be going out with her and her friends. I have never gone, I was planning on it a few years back but never got to it.

    Thanks!

Def do not buy any tickets on the street or craigs list. Either stub hub or at the ticket center in the garden. There was just a special on the news how these guys buy two tickets and then re sell it over and over again. First to have it scanned gets in. If you buy tickets in the garden its going to be the most expensive seats together, the worst seats together or you will end up sitting away from your friends. Very tough to wait til last minute and get a few seats together that are affordable. NYC loves their knicks so its close to sold out for shitty teams and def sold out for good games

Tickets are ridiculously expensive. I have 1/4 share of tickets and it still cost me some bucks. As far as going out it depends on what you are in to. If you want trendy, bottles, stuck up chicks head down to meat packing district. Little west 12th and 9th ave. Has some great looking chicks but be prepared to look the part and spend some money.

Let me know if you need any other info.

Its crazy a lot of the house music parties have moved to warehouses in Brooklyn. The city is not tolerating any non sense anymore.

Well we are mostly into casual drinking normally with a sophisticated atmosphere, but higher end clubs with some EDM playing would always be a plus. I heard Pacha is the place to be, also heard Sik Gaek has amazing Squid Sashimi.

My buddy is a huge Knicks fan so we have to go. So I guess we will forget about scalping tickets then, we will just buy them online.

Just buy them online at stub hub. Pacha is kinda of wack nowadays for the more experienced clubber. I would never walk in there anymore but if you have not experienced it before it may float your boat. If you are looking for higher end I would hit cielo not pacha. How old are you?

I'll be 24 next week, heading there the weekend of Feb 22. Loving this advise. I actually just YouTubed Cielo, I like the flow of music they got and definitely going to have to check that out. That's actually perfect of what I was looking for.

Thats all the parties geared towards edm that weekend

If I were you I would check out James Zabiela on Friday which will be a posh crowd and then check out Verboten with Claude in BK. Its would be the true experience for clubbing in NY nowadays. You buy tickets and about 2 hours before it starts they email you the address. It would be a very dark party. People will be doing more then drinking and it goes til 9am. I would not show up until 3am so go get drunk somehwere else

Wow, this is something I was actually hoping to find not the atmosphere we can bring those girls too but who cares. A little confused though, Verboten tickets is what I need for that night and they'll email me the address?

There is actually a lot of girls at these parties. A lot of the brooklyn hipster crowd go and the girls are pretty hot.

Verboten is the group that throw the parties. They have different locations they use in the city. Its a free for all and they serve booze til they close. So once you buy ticktes here http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?438366 they are going to tell you to rsvp with your email address. Then the night of the party they will email that address the address of the party. They do this so they can keep cops out but there is always a chance they get shut down so make sure you have back up plan. These areas in bk are usually a little grimey so make sure you get dropped off in front and there will be plenty waiting for people to leave

Up until 2 years ago I lived in NYC.
My whole life in fact--40 years.
DO NOT BUY TICKETS OUTSIDE MSG.
Those scalpers have some seriously legit LOOKING tickets.
Your gonna get ripped off for sure.

I had a lot of friends in the Marines who lived there. They loved it I guess its the fast life.I always loved the outdoors. So the city life isnt for me.The only thing I miss about the city is being able to order a pizza late at nite and have it delivered. Now I make my own But its worth it!
