    Successes with various cutting diets.

I've always been skinny, but the leanest I've been was at 10-12 BF%.

Right now, I'm 180 and around 15-16 BF%. I wouldn't mind trying to get down to 10% BF.

I've had success with just a simple reduction of calories. roughly, 500 Below maintenance. I have no interest on trying a keto diet.

But, I'm interested in trying carb cycling.

Someone who has experience with both, what can I expect? I have a vacation coming up in two months. So, I am looking at the quickest way to lose the fat in that time frame and after, I will probably slow it down.

Bump. I'm also trying to wrap my head around carb cycling. I've read and read, but it's a foreign language to me.

I'm no expert by any means but speaking from personal experience, carb cycling has worked very well for me. To be honest I have never done a real cut on a simple calorie deficit (unless you count when i went from fatty to normal person level years ago, but that wasn't a 'cut' it was just a fat guy losing weight by any means necessary) but in almost 4 weeks of carb cycling at about 15% bf I have consistently been losing about 1.5-2 lbs a week with no noticeable loss in strength or size. Muscle size that is.

I will give carb cycling a try. Haven't done it before and I'm curious on how I would respond to it.

For another approach to carb cycling, check out my log where I have it detailed in the initial post:

a good carb cycle for cutting i am doing now is a 2 day cycle.
    day1: high
    day2: low/NO
    repeat

working very well for cutting and maintaining. also fasting is a great tool. especially on ur low/NO carb day.. u can also change the ratio of these types of days to suit u. for example:

    day1: high
    day2: low/NO
    day3: low/NO
    repeat

    or

    day1: high
    day2: high
    day3: low/NO
    repeat

as stated there are a bunch of ways to do it.
