UK & Italy Layover Vacation

I am going to Spain in 6 weeks. Prices have gone through the roof and I was thinking about doing some lay overs to make the price cheaper.


However I have never been to Europe and not sure it would even make sense. Maybe some of the guys who live over seas can point me in the right direction


On the way there I would have a 7 hour layover in Heathrow Airport. I see Windsor Castle is pretty awesome looking and near the airport. I guess I would try and find a place to go eat at before I got back on the plane.


The layover on the way home would be Milan. I think its a no brainer but curious to get feedback from anyone else who has been there.

7 hr layover? I would not leave the airport. You never know what might happen and you dont get back in time. Only time I have left the airport if it's over 15 hrs. Yeah seems like a long time but better safe than sorry and then I schedule a layover hotel through the airlines so it's up to them to get me to the hotel and back in time.

Yea Ibiza for 7 days but dont know when I will get the chance to go back to europe

Figured if I could visit a couple other cities on a lay over and save money it would be perfect!
