MG/mL can also be a determining factor in getting those golf-balls under your skin. When there is too much hormone suspended in too little oil, the hormone is left to 'crash' or crystalize INSIDE the injection site. this is what causes the pain, swelling, etc if there is no infection present.
You could try making some sterile oil to cut gear like this with.
98mL grapeseed oil, 2mL Benzyl Alcohol. Heat in a beaker until mixed well; let cool. Filter through a .2um syringe filter into a sealed sterile vial. Autoclave it with a pressure cooker (30-40 mins @ 220C 15PSI)
You now have oil to cut any painful gear with. If it's not the gear's potency, nor is it causing infection, then I would assume you are wiggling too much with your needle and causing microtrauma to the injection site.
