Aspirating???

hey everyone


Lets say for example your injection with the steroid of choice is ready to use.

You insert the needle in your bum and you aspirate checking for blood.

Now lets say blood did enter the syringe.


Now my question is

Do you throw that syringe away because its contaminated with blood???

Or do you just use the same syringe but use another site to inject???

It's you're own blood,I would put a new needle on and inject.

Here we go. OP did this happen? If so what did you do. I'm just curious. For me, I don't aspirate. If you hit a blood vessel in your but it is a small capillary and doesn't matter. You won't hit a vein and stay in it. The doctor and the nurse does not aspirate, or never for me and I been around many years. Stab yourself and plunge it. ...crazy mike
