Debating on HRT

I have beem feeling the side effects of Testosterone Deficiency. I went to two different doctors to get multiple opinions. One of the Dr was a OD and the other an MD specilized in HRT. The first doctor ran my blood work and my total testosterone came back at a 294 and the free testosterone 3.4 on the 1.0-2.7 scale. The first doctor the OD told me that my levels were fine and wasnt going to do anything about the situation but would refer me to an ENDO. The second the Dr the MD specialized in HRT said my levels should be between 800-1200 and wanted to start me on Pellets. I am 29 and a little hesitant on starting HRT mainly because the increase chance of prostate cancer, thicker blood, and higher blood pressure. I'm looking for opinions, knowledge, and guidance. Thanks.

The only test I have are the Total Testosterone which was 294 and the Free Testosterone which was 3.4. I had a General health test of everything else calcium, sodium, TSH,etc. and a Lipids test but as far as anything I have not. Thank you for the article though very good information.

If you are used to Test below 300 then you might feel great between 500-600. Shooting for 1000 might not be needed and the lower the dose the lower the side effects, like thick blood, bp...

Vegan I feel the same way I have a buddy who was having similar symptoms and his doctor has him on 500-600 average and he feels great. when the Dr. told me 800 was the minimum that kind of made me uncomfortable so when I go back in I'm going to talk to him about a less agressive approach.
