Both are attacks on American soil resulting in tragic and unprovoked loss of life. Both attacks were the straw that broke the camels back in terms of making the decision to engage in war where many lives were and are still being lost.

I think they are both equally significant but may hit closer to home for different generations.

It wasn't an attack on Hawaii. It was a strategic mission to take out the American Naval Fleet stationed in Pearl. Even though Hawaii wasn't actually US soil at the time, the attack still sent a clear message.

Euroholic. You got your answer. Now please find another thread to try to be controversial in and leave this one alone out of respect for once.

All of these are right on, great answer lunk. Please let's not forget the soldiers still downrange due to what happen that day, and lets not forget the ones coming home and committing suicide everyday. More soldiers died from suicide last year than died in combat in the same year. If you have a minute write an email to your congressman and ask them to get the VA to do more. Never forget, 9/11 or Pearl Harbor.
