    Plantar Fasciitis

Aka bruised heel or heel spur. I have recently upped my treadmill cardio a ton and I think I have got Plantar Fasciitis. Does anyone know of any good treatment ideas or stretching methods?

I wear vibrams fivefinger shoes (the "toe shoes") while training and they offer little to no support. So I'm guessing that could be a big factor to the cause.

Most common cause of PS is biomechanics: supination, pronation, or pes planus (fallen arch). Treatment is proper orthodics (i.e. better shoes).

Had this problem off and on for years. Finally talked to one of the docs I work with and he told me to wear shoes with better arch support and constant heel stretches.

After a few weeks, no more pain and the wife was happy to throw away my favorite workout shoes!

Those five fingers have no shock absorption, wear running shoes with good support. "And socks"
