Fun things to do in London (for someone who's hopeless at romance)

What ideas have you got for a romantic day out (it's her birthday). She's one of these people who's very hard to disappoint, she loves everything! Trouble is, she's with the most unimaginative git to walk this earth.

I assume you're both Londoners so all the standard stuff that we tourists would normally do is out Maybe take her to one of those nice restaurants with a view of the city, or try to explore some parts of the city you've never seen

St Pancras station has a gorgeous champagne bar on the 1st floor on the train platform: Searcys Champagne Bar - St Pancras Grand

There's always tea at the Ritz, the Dorchester or the Lanesborough.

I just realised everything I listed has to do with eating or drinking. Sorry, I have been cooking all day as we are expecting friends tomorrow, and haven't yet eaten myself.

So something non-food - how about seeing a show? I'm not very into theatre but a visiting friend insisted I come along to see One Man, Two Guvnors with her and I had a great time, it was such a laugh. You can even get cheap last minute tickets for many shows at Discount theatre tickets | TKTS.
