It has a longer active window .I have been told up to eight hours
Using it for post work out small dose 2 iu's work up to 8 use
For for weeks. What will I need to differently.
I keep Gluck tabs and on on hand every where I go. And am aware of the dangers.

I have been following this protocol. I do

Injection + 5 minutes – drink shake with 10g glutamine / 10g creatine / 7 grams of dextrose per IU of Insulin.

• Injection + 15 minutes – drink shake with 65g of whey isolate protein in water

• Injection + 75 minutes – eat a protein / carb meal with 40-50g of protein, 40-50g of carbs, NO FATS

are you taking humulin R/novolin R or are you taking humulin N/novolin N. big difference. the R's peak around 2-4 hours while the N's peak around 8 hours. N's duration can also last up to 16 hours.

if you dont have much experience with insulin its best to stick rapid acting insulin such as humalog or novolog. its easier to keep in check and the duration times are much less. this decreases your chances of messing up going hypo. also you dont want insulin that has a long duration as insulin will be high and you will store a lot of fat if you dont know what your doing

looks like your taking humulin N/novolin N. anyways they are basically the same just different brand names. if your going to continue i would suggest using humalog or novolog though

Yes I was using humalin I am now using novalin
I'm with out a scrip so I am limited. I keep my meals controlled through out the day. And I have tried pinning IM to see for my self if it shortens the active time frame

Regular (Humulin R, Novolin R): Onset, 0.5 - 1 hours. Peak, 2.5 - 5 hours. Duration, 8-12 hours. Give 30-60 minutes prior to meal.

I asked a friend what the diff between humalin r and novalin r
He says the manufacturer is the only diff.
When asked if injecting it IM rather than sub Q will make it faster acting making it better for my post lift needs. He says yes

Correct humalin and novalin is manufacturer differences

Novalin is a brand walmart sells and I walk in and asked for it.. No questions asked
