    grow bigger and get leaner?

Looking to start a serious nutrition plan, strictly calorie controlled with planned meals hitting macros. Is it possible to grow bigger whilst getting leaner on a strict, healthy meal plan? even if you are in a caloric surplus or is it just calories in vs calories out like i've read?

Sure but your gains are going to be slower and it has to be very strict. You will need to make sure you are weighing all of your food and keeping tack of everything you consume so you can keep it consistent every day. Once you get that part down its easy to adjust your macros to gain and loose weight

What is your level of experience with weight training? What are your current stats?

People who are new to the sport will typically see strength/muscle gains whilst losing bodyfat simultaneously. If this is you, enjoy it now; it doesn't last long! They refer to this 'phenom' as "newb gains". As you progress towards a novice, gains will dramatically decrease (assuming you're eating a hypocaloric diet).

Generally, I always suggest people prioritize one goal over the other and focus on that.

i just put on 5kgs FFM and lost 2% of my body fat at the same time. Its possible.

Cardio helped, and eating enough helped as well.

I find if you train hard and eat alot , your body will start shifting things around in the favor of body comp.
