I keep reading about the superiority of the sensitive estrogen test over the standard estrogen test (in the latter I get the "less than #" result). As one who can't access the sensitive e test (no lab that I can find in Ontario, Canada does it) I am wondering not only on how much important info I am losing out on, but also wondering just what is the technical difference between the tests.

There is a huge difference in the therapeutic information one gets from total and free testosterone. Is the standard and sensitive E tests just as important as the two testosterone tests?

Main reason most use the standard estradiol test is cost. It's simply way cheaper than a Sensitive Assay. Like $12 to $239. Big difference right. The sensitive assay is geared toward men, the standard is not and the difference can be great. Think about that when trying to dose an AI. Accuracy is important here. Dr. Crisler will tell you an invalid assay is an invalid assay. He has actually petitioned the LEF Foundation to change their protocols and defer to the Sensitive Assay.
