Hope this helps someone . I started hrt when i found out i had low t , anxiety, and no energy . Here are my numbers . 254 to 365 two pumps androgeL ,365 to 220 on three pumps angrogel , 220 to 237 three pumps axiron . Also on 100mg zoloft . So gels do not work . But i was able to wean my self off zoloft over a couple of months . I fell ok at this point . Mri was negative . Today i had my first shot of test cyp 200mg bi weekly . I know but thats how she starts . I have heard test gel dont compare to test cyp injection . I didnt even no they gave me a shot it was simple . So i cant wait to finally feel better anyway i wish i never started on the gels .thanks again

Hello tlow. Some people just don't absorb gels well, it happens. Others can do great on them. Take some time and read the sticky threads at the top of the forum for some good, basic info that will help you. You also need to educate your doctor to the half life of testosterone. Shots need to be weekly at a minimum to maintain a decent serum level. Otherwise, you will be on a hormonal roller coaster ride. All your doc needs to do is google testosterone half-life and read up!

You also need to be aware of estrogen spikes with such a large dose. Did she have any conversation with you regarding that aspect? Or HCG for testicular shrinkage for that matter?

Tell us a bit more about yourself tlow. Age, height, weight? What was the cause of your low T?

Thanks kelkel ,im 39 yowm 5 foot 11 198 pounds 15 bmi . Not sure of cause i had mri on my pit and is negative . I told her about half life but i will have to keep a journal for a little while to watch moods so she does know what is going on . I think i will be going on at 100 mg a week before its over thanks again .

Stay on top of things tlow. It's your health and you are ultimately in charge of it. If she won't be your partner in this and listen to you then consider another physician. I assume you'll be pulling BW in 6 weeks or so and I'll be curious where you land, especially if you pull it at the end of your bi-weekly protocol as your levels should be in the toilet. Which is what you want to impress upon her. You want to maintain a more steady serum level not a drastic rise and fall and the accompanying emotional roller coaster it causes. 100mg per week would be a great start. Break that down to 50mg x 2 and it's even better, imho.

Stay up on your estrogen control and be sure to request a Sensitive Estrogen Assay. If you use Labcorp I can give you the proper codes. Anything else is not specific to males. Stick with this test throughout your journey. Also begin to maintain all your own copies of BW. Labcorp is on-line (Labcorp Beacon) now as well. A spreadsheet is a great tool if you can develop and maintain one.

Remember, all this takes time to dial in, so expect some ups and downs along the way. We've all been through it.

50mg every Tuesday night and Saturday morning have worked wonders for me. My doc started me out on 200mg once a month and then finally (after a few months) put me on 200mg EOW. After chatting here I decided to go with the 50mg Every 3.5 days.. Worlds of difference.. Now, my E levels were reading 86 (70 being high) I'm going to try DIM to get that regulated... Keep us posted

Dim and zinc only drop the majority a good 5-10 points from what I have seen. At them levels, you will need an AI such a a arimidex.

My E2 was at 75.1 with 100mg weekly (50mg every sat morning and tues night like you), and I take .5mg of arimidex the day after my test injections to keep in range.

Well after my first week i have a good mood took about three days after the shot and anxiety is disapating . I dont feel a roller coaster yet next shot in 6 days so we will see . Also made it back to the gym and i guess it helps to have positive thinking Thanks again
