How do you eat your egg whites???
How do you eat your egg whites???
Scramble them with what? Just solo? I'm trying to get my diet down so I need a good way to eat them. This morning I just chucked 1 cup into a bowl and microwaved it with some chilli flakes and that wasn't to enjoyable...![]()
All I really need is a bit of salt and pepper and I can eat em scrambled or fried. I also include 2 or 3 whole eggs with my whites. You could try Mrs. Dash. I sometimes use the table blend as a sub for the salt and pepper.
with the yolks.............
Scrambled with pepper. I also throw in a veggie sausage party. It's flavored like sausage only 80 cal most from protein. Or in a protein shake.![]()
If I have time in the morning ill scramble them thrown in some diced onions and mushrooms or veggies and call it good. Some times if I need some thing to keep me going during the day Ill grab some egg whites the kind in the cartoon and throw it in a blender with a package of blueberries blend it together and down it. Doesn't taste the best but I come to figure out I am not in this for the taste of food.
i scramble them with one yolk and 10 whites nothing elseOriginally Posted by Schmicc
I'll have to give these options a whirl tomorrow. Chucking a yoke I'm there will probably make a world of difference
thats why I put it in there is for the little but of fat and flavorOriginally Posted by Schmicc
Liquid egg whites...drink them right down or mix with whey isolate, berries and a banana for a post work out smoothie
yuck do you do that bro?Originally Posted by OdinsOtherSon
oh yeah. They are tasteless, convenient and since they've been pasteurized are essentially cooked...making them (according to what I've read) more bio available than raw. Which, I would NEVER eat straight up raw egg anyway. Mix them in a post/pre workout protein shake and I promise you bro, you'll never know they are there.
wow I have just gotten myself so used to eating solid food I gave up on post training shakes long ago. I drink muscle milk before bed to keep my sanity but I have always felt solid good better than liquid cause your body works harder to break it down. Nice info though for a pst workout shakeOriginally Posted by OdinsOtherSon

In all honesty, I've about given up on pre/post shakes too.I'd much rather have solid as well. But, even though the whites are liquid, I still look at them as solid. But I'm like you...lately I've been shifting my protein shake to right before going to bed. But if I'm pushed for time, I'm in no way opposed to opening the carton and chugging it right on down. It has the consistency of milk, with no taste.
I've never tried chuckin them straight back. If fell like id gag for sure haha.
oh, and I also use them to make egg white omelets.
I make a shake every morning and night consisting of 2 cups of oats, 2 cups of egg whites, and 2 scoops of whey protein and a little bit of milk or water to thin it out.
so you drink 2 meals every day?Originally Posted by yeahbuddy289
So I just necked 8 of em with a scoop of protein and it feels like I have boogers stuck in my face haha
About 4 weeks ago I had a bursa sac in my elbow burst so I havent lifted anything but legs since. I have been doing 20 minutes of cardio 4x a week and have made some diet changes (no sugary drinks, increasing protein and eating completely clean at least 6 days a week) Im hoping to keep my weight/and size but "recomp".
Oh ok did not know that thanks Jim.
Ay Jim, I like the advice you give, if u got a minute can u check out my diet I posted and critique... Thanks
Go breeze through the recipe section, tons of diff ways to utilize eggs and egg whites!
If they are the kind in a box, i just blend them into my protein shakes. Tastes pretty good.
added to a 2 egg scramble or omlet, anyway never raw
most of my egg whites go down the sink. I eat a shit ton of yolks tho
i usually boil them and then put olive oil slat and pepper
Drink them
unfortunately, I don't like them much. 4 whites and one whole egg scrambled are about all I can get down.
