    Anxiety and Depression

    Hi.

I am 39 and have been suffering from anxiety, insomnia, and depression for about 20 years. I take anti-depressants.

Anyway, I plan to use steroids when I have more knowledge. But I have heard people say that when they are on steroids they speak of "an overall sense of well being".

So my question to ask is: if I took steroids would the steroids exacerbate my existing problems?

I want to do steroids not just to build my physique, but also to search for that "high" (if such a term can be equated to steroid use).

I have been doing some research and I read that in the 50's doctors used to prescribe testosterone to depressed men. However, upon the advent of anti-depressants hitting the market, doctors shifted to prescribing anti-depressants over steroids.

    Thanks

Have you ever had hormone blood panel?

Yes I have a complete blood count test every three months and everything shows up normal. I did have my testosterone levels checked about 2 years ago and again my testosterone level came back normal.

I use to have bad anxiety and I still struggle with it on occasion. What helps me is injectable b12 and a lot of water. Don't know why but that was a game changer for me. As for insomnia I just learned to work with it. It takes a lot for me to get tired, I can go 2 days and feel fine. The only thing that changes is my mental point on life wen I'm sleep deprives. I get prescribed sleeping pills but chose not to take them due to them ****ing with my head

But have you any experience with steroids? If so did it have an impact on your anxiety or insomnia?

Meh not really made me feel better. But the first few days of pct hit hard. I just tried to sleep it off.

I've delt w general anxiety and depression most of my life. I used to break out in massive sweats just from people approaching and talkin to me. So I can empathize with your situation.

Now to answer your question, testosterone can give you an overall sense of well being. But if your not planning on doing hrt the rest of your life then I would say its not worth it. Also there is the chance it doesn't help at all and you have to come off. Then you go through pct and your even worse than before.

And if your blood panel came back w normal levels than your not really fixing the problem just masking it.

I've taken anti depresants for a long time. They never really helped all that much. What helped me the most was just letting go of everything. Sounds dumb as hell but it's like the movie fight club in the car. And brad Pitt is saying just let go, then they crash.

That is pretty much what I had to go through. I let go off everything and life has become much better. Haven't had an anxiety attack in over a yr and I wake up w a desire to live and conquer everyday.

I won't go into detail about everything I did on here cause it's to long to type but I'd be open to sharing if u wanted.

    Good luck
