Perpetual soreness, 54 years old. Is it age?

Looking for guidance from knowledgeable group here. I'm 54, former football player so lifted most of my life, except for the last 5 years.
My weight balloned to 368 pounds at 6-4 and had no energy. About 1 year ago I was put on Androgel for low T but quickly found that was bullshit so I went to endocronologist who started me on half cc injections of Cypionate which got my motor cranking
Ive been back in the gym for 4 months now and have dropped my weight to 328 along with changing my body composition drastically, that quick. I've adjusted my injections to 1cc twice weekly and feel incredible in the gym, have to make myself leave.
My problem is I am constantly sore, constantly. From my traps to my toes ache all the time. I realize at 54 my recovery time is not what it used to be but damn. Love the feeling to some degree as I know I'm making progress but there has to be something to take the aches away to some extent. Any suggestions?
Would also love ideas from experienced here as for my use? Even though I played ball this is my first time using and what I've learned I've learned here and from a couple buddies who compete. Guess I'm looking for backup to what they said. Thank you in advance for any help.

It could be several things....including poor estrogen management. What kind of lifting routine are you following? Do you get plenty of rest? Stretching? Possibly you need a break from your regular routine if you've been pushing hard.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Did your endo alter your dosing or did you? Generally, you can't up the dosage w/o some concessions.
Do some reading in the TRT forum if you haven't already. Lots of handy info in there.

I'm 52, 53 here in a couple of months. So I'm going to talk to you as if I were talking to myself, and I will not sugar coat what I'm about to say.

You have no clue what you are doing. You have extreme body fat, and are cycling steroids. I don't give a shit who is giving you the steroids. if it is your endo, he needs to be taken out back and have his ass whooped for negligence.

I bet if you injected heroin, you'd think that felt wonderful too.

    Steroids are a drug.

I'm a little upset because your willingness to "go along" at your age seems strange. Usually, when old bulls like us get to a certain age, they pick up some wisdom along the way too. You seem to have not acquired that element of the aging process. So excuse me if I do not extend the courtesy I ordinarily would for someone your age.

So now, let me break it down for you.

    FAT
You are obese. Your body fat is too high for steroids. Body fat will most likely increase your E levels when metabolizing testosterone. This increases your risk of gyno amongst other things. Wait until your body fat % is 15% or below before you start a steroid cycle.

    Testosterone
This nothing to fvck around with. 2x 1ml of test c @ 200mg/ml = 400mg test per week. THIS IS A STEROID CYCLE!!

    Connective tissue
Connective tissue takes much longer to strengthen than muscle tissue. Tendons/ligaments. So you can feel "stronger" in the gym due to increases in muscular strength, and your connective tissue still weak. You are on the verge of an injury, and at your age, it will take six months to rehab.

    Gym time
At your age, you need a good solid 4 or 5 years in the gym before your tendons/ligaments are strong enough for you to consider a steroid cycle. No wonder your body is plagued by "aches and pains"

    Diet
You have absolutely no discipline in the kitchen. 368 pounds? are you crazy? Get your weight down to something like 240 by dieting and cardio. It took years to fvck yourself up, and it isn't going to go away fast. You need a lifestyle change, not drugs.

Your claims of being a former football player mean absolutely nothing. at your age, atrophy happens quickly. 5 years ago is like forever. don't let the shadows of the past influence your ego or your decision making process..

Now that I am done with this aspect of my speech, kicking your ass for stupidity, we can begin to constructively discuss solutions.

    First,

go to the nutrition section and post your daily diet. include macros per meal and total macros per day. include your tdee.

if you need help calculating your nutrition plan, including your tdee, PM me or email me and I will send you my calculator.

We will criticize your diet, showing you how to fine tune it so you can get the best results with the least effort.

And what about cardio. What are you doing in this department?

Took awhile to respond as I was having Romans foot surgically removed from my ass. Almost gone, I do get plenty of rest, work 1 body part a day, 3 on, 1 off, 1 on, 2 off. I definitely need to up the stretching and cardio which is my plan. No more heavy weight stuff due to my age, very strict and high intensity keeping heart rate up while lifting.

Roman, you are correct, I am obese, have fought it all my life. The football comment was only mentioned as I know my way around the weight room though I have very little knowledge of steroids. From age 30-45 I kept my weight around 315, was in very good shape for a fat man lifting and doing cardio 5 days a week.

You are exactly correct that I have no discipline when it come to food, never have, though I have lost 38 pounds since I started HRT. My endo prescribed halfcc of Cyp due to low T, like a fool I have adjusted the dosage myself.

While I get your "old bulls" comment Roman, does that mean we can't ever feel good again at our age? The drive I have now along with the great feeling of making muscle again is pushing me to get in the gym daily, is this all bad?

I totally respect each of your opinions and am definitely pausing for thought but I have to have some hope don't i? Don't want to fall back to the depressive sit around the house me.

Would love to communicate via pm or email with both of you when I figure out how. New to this site and still crawling around

Thank you both again and please, don't hold back if you have further.
    Respectfully and appreciatively, MBOS
