When using test as a base is it always better to have more test than anything else?

Or does this just hold true for tren?

I've been thinking recently about non test cycles that use test as a base and wondering why we bother pinning 250mg+ of test a week on top of their steroid of choice when running bi weekly HCG pins will accomplish the same thing (keep testosterone levels out of the low range and so theoretically keep you from feeling lethargic etc).

Is it because you always need more test or at least a somewhat molar equivalent to outcompete the other compounds?

Or rephrased, are natural test levels maintained via HCG not enough to make you feel 'normal' when running moderate to high levels of non testosterone steroids (deca, orals etc)?

If you're cycling properly, then you'd be running test with any and every cycle. The ratio should be based on experience and how well you understand bloodwork and e2 management. Obviously higher doses would yield more difficulty managing hormones.

There isn't a ratio that works for everyone.

Multi-part answer from my point of view:

    1. You want your Pituitary gland making GH at maximum level. The level of GH production is impacted by testosterone. Rarely does a person's testosterone production (age corrected) actually max out GH production.

    2. Real testosterone (not modified like AAS) cause neurotransmitters to increase at damaged fiber sites. When you are bulking up or cutting you are damaging muscle. Who would not want to heal to the maximum of their body? Natural levels of testosterone do not max out the ability of the body in these aspects.

Testosterone does a lot more than make your jewels big and make sperm. Testosterone impacts MANY other functions. Sometimes we get lost in the whole HPTA thing and forget testosterone does so much more.

    Austinite is right.

Some don't tolerate excessive amounts of test very well, as it aromatizes out and can increase amounts of E and other sides. For those, they may choose to utilize a low dose test (eg. maybe 200mg/week) to replace their natty test lost due to shutdown, and then they are free to add most any other compound for their cycle.

Others get great results from a test only cycle, and really no need for other compounds. For those men, a 600mg/test/week cycle works well.

Everyone is different, and therefore, the cycles they take need to be customized for their needs.
