I think I'm doing it right. Could be wrong.
I'm 38 years old 5'11" 225lbs. 25%bf. I was out of the gym for a year. Been back in for about 2 months. My body is starting to bounce back. Had a good foundation before my layoff. Wanna do a cycle but wanna get under 15% bf first. My TDEE is about 2700-2800. I've eaten between that for about a month and maintained weight so I believe I have my maintenance calories. I figure I have to lose about 2.25 lbs / 1%bf. so I figure at 195-200 I'll be at or under 15%.
So maintenance cals is 2800. Wanna cut so m gonna do a 500 cal deficit.
Macros have been 250 pro 275 carbs 70 fats
Meals are when I have time. Only set meat is post workout. I usually eat 4-5 meals a day. Usually each meal is about 50g pro 55c 15f.
I guess my only question is where to take cals from for deficit. I wanna keep my protein pretty much the same. So I'll probably take off the 75g carbs and drop those to 200g. That'll give me 300cals there. I could take 15g fat 10g protein. That's another 175. Puts my deficit at 475. That's probably good I'm assuming. Any input appreciated. Thanks.
Oh. Protein sources(meat chix fish eggs whey cottage cheese plain Greek yogurt)
