    Pain after pin

first cycle. Pin went great. No pain. No bruising. Etc. Used a 23g pin. Test-e. Cleaned area. No air in the pin, pin in, back draw no blood, slowly injected. Next day no issues. Today. Day 3. I feel like someone kicked me 50 times in the same area - my quad is soar from below the pin site to my knee. Is this normal?

Any heat, redness, or hardened tissue in the injection area? Try applying a warm compress and massaging the area. PIP is something you'll just have to get accustomed to. Some are worse than others.

Could be cellulitis. I need a better description.

Hey ya muscle ink. Naw, No to all. No redness, heat, hardness etc around the pin area. It's just like a tender soreness; all below the pin site. no shooting pains. If I'm sitting down, laying down, etc no soreness. I stand up and I can feel it.

    You have necrotizing fasciitis...

Oh come on it's funny! I'm joking of course. The same thing happened to me years ago. It freaked me out for a few days but it will go away. In the meantime keep an eye out for what muscleink was asking about.

Most likely a local irritation. The oil is probably causing an inflammatory response in the area. It should be short lived.

Usually a sign of infection. May be low grade. Cellulitis is far more common among intravenous drug users. Steroids have immunosuppressive effects so even the slightest bacteria pushed under the skin may induce cellulitis. I've had it twice; once in my forearm, once in my quads. Both times required two courses of antibiotics. The quad was the worst. The muscle from the patellar tendon along the lateral tensor fascia and rectus femoris was so tight I couldn't bend my leg and only had about 50% weight bearing on it.

Actually......cellulitis is caused by Group A Streptococcus and Staphylococcus and if either bacterial strains reach the deepest layer of the fascia, they can cause necrotizing fasciitis. It's rare, but requires immediate medical intervention when it does occur.

On the bright side... debridement is a fun way to learn anatomy!

Hey guys, ive been cycling on and off for a few years now and have never really had pain around my pin. Im currently running TNT which is a combo of test uth, test eht nd tren eth. did two pins in the dels and no pain or swelling, did my third in my quad and it seems like it may be pooling. what would i be looking for in terms of signs and symptoms of pooling and is it normal for there to be pain and swelling? feels like a big bruis and it is swollen around the injection site.

    thanks.

Is it red in the swollen spot? Does the swollen area feel warmer than other nearby areas?

Also what size pin did you use and did you stick it in all the way?
