    Migrating oil? (injection Q)

Second time this has happened to me, always the same delt. I inject in my delt and get very minor PIP. A few days later, my entire bicep is slightly swollen/sore/red, and there is a little hardness right below my delt where the bicep is starting. What's going on? It doesn't feel like standard injection pain - mostly just feels like there is too much pressure.

I also have been gotten this with my right delt.
Injecting 1cc of 50mg/cc prop. (It was 100mg/cc but I cut it with sterile GSO.)

Happens to me too, it goes away in a few days. Using a 23 ga 1" needle. It's just weird as hell doing bicep curls when one of your biceps is swollen.

Go a little deeper, change location on the delt or just doing do it. I got it a couple of times and I think it's usually my left side. It's more annoying than anything else.

I have never had it in my delt but when this has happened to me in the past it was due to me not going deep enough like this good looking man above suggested.

Inject chest and I immediately feel it in my arms. Have it happen in other areas too, I don't get what is going on either, but it can be painful.

Thanks for the input guys. I think the oil is somehow seeping down if that's possible - I can feel an actual mass sitting at the top of the bicep, where it meets the delt. I don't think that it's a depth issue, I'm using a 1" needle and my delts aren't terribly large, but it may have to do with all of the trauma over the years. I'm HRT bound and have been injecting for a very long time. I used to use a 5/8" on delts and filled up a benign abscess a couple of years back, then left that arm alone until just recently to make sure it was gone. Maybe it has to do with the scar tissue.

I would be curious if some of the more experienced users still get the same experience. I haven't noticed it now for a long time.

I had it happen once in my first cycle and once in my second cycle so I am not ruling out that I had terrible injection technique either. I haven't noticed it for a long time either and I have done six cycles since then without any PIP or anything like the OP mentioned. I do not think scar tissue is the culprit for the simple fact that I know I have a ton myself and it still doesn't happen anymore.

I just wouldn't inject delts if it was an issue. There is a ton of places to pin.

This is what is so weird to me. I never had it happen when I first started injecting. Here I am years later, and it's happened twice in a row when I hit that delt.

Might be getting between the actual sheath of the muscle and it seeps down. Generally if I inj shoulders in the wrong place or too much it causes a nice little lump at my outer tri head. Just my experience.

I have oil in all my sites, lats, delts, quads. At some point I just got to used to it and started using a heating pad to help with absorption.

I just had something similar happen. Started a new cycle 4 weeks ago of cypionate, and the last injection into my right lateral deltoid this past Sunday. I had pain and slight swelling in my delt start on Monday, similar to what I've had before, then noticed today that my arm, down to my elbow, is swollen pretty thoroughly. It's a little red, and warm, not hot, and no pain at all in the bicep. None of the swollen area is spongy.

I warm my vial up for about 60 seconds by wrapping one of those gel heat packs around it, I clean the top with alcohol, and wipe the site with a different swab, I use 23g 1.5" needle to draw and the same one to inject, going all the way in, aspirate, then inject somewhat slowly, about 30-45 seconds for the full 1ml. Prior to this time, had no pain at all during this cycle.

It's kind of freaking me out, but after some reading, I suppose I'll wait until the weekend to see if the swelling in my arm goes down, and the pain in my delt diminishes.

Would heat or ice be recommended for my swollen bicep area, and sore delt? I've been using ice.
