Another reason people choose different proteins/companies/etc., is because they need to find a product that has an acceptable protein/carb/fat ratio for their dietary approach. Some items that are kind of "cost effective" would be great, but just don't have the breakdowns needed for the dieter. Hence, they need to go and find a product that will "fit". I know I change products all the time depending on what time of year it is.
