    Jacksonville Fl TRT Doc

Does anybody know of a good TRT Dr in the Jacksonville area? I am currently getting TRT through my endo but I feel he is a bit behind the times and I would like to try one that is a little more up to date. One that treats the patients needs instead of what Im getting, "well, your in the normal range, that should be good".. Thanks for any help.

Hogg, give LowTestosterone.com a call. They will take care of Airfare and when a location comes up in your area (should be soon) you can transfer at no cost to that location.

One that you like? Is the treatment plan good? Do you use insurance? The lowtest.com deal looks and sounds great but I have insurance and would really like to use my insurance if possible.

Yea they do accept all types of insurance. Although his compounding pharmacy doesn't use your ins. But still cheaper than the low test advertised here. 120 a month so far that's with everything

    Petey,

Can you PM me the info on the doc in OP? I've been searching like crazy around here and can't find anyone. I just signed on and doesn't look like I can send PMs.

    Thanks!

Nothing. I'm quite frustrated because I'm trying to do this the right (legal) way but can't find anyone. My doctor will barely talk to me about it.

There's a guy who used to come up to Daytona once a week from Tampa (apparently, he was on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show) but he no longer comes up.

I just can't find anyone who is open-minded about TRT.

The doc in jax is very open minded and is into hcg, and self injection. The draw back is you get preloaded syringes.

Being totally new to this, why is it bad to get preloaded syringes? Is it because of the lack of control over the doses? I read somewhere else around here of someone being prescribed too high of a dose and others seem to get too low of a dose.

Hi. Welcome. After hcg is mixed with bac water and stored in the fridge, it has a limited "shelf" life. Anywhere from 30-60 days. It can begin to lose potency within that timeframe or shortly thereafter. When you are given pre-mixed hcg, you have no idea when it was mixed or if it has been refrigerated. It's much better to receive freeze-dried hcg and mix it yourself. That way, you have complete control.

Only the test is in preloaded syringes. The hcg is freeze dried and you reconstitute it yourself. Sorry about the confusion.

    No worries.

So it looks like I need 200 posts to get pms. That may take me a little while.

I know this doc in OP that y'all are talking about. He about killed me. He has his own pharmacy and he over medicates and pushes his stuff hard. I went in to see him, told him of my problems and did no tests no nothing. He didn't even check my bp, breathing...nothing! The next week I was in emergency surgery. I'll never go back!

That OP doc pre fills his test. I'm currently looking for a new doc in jax that does the whole shabang. I don't want to loose my nads again or go through another surgery because of the OP doc.

Really? That's who I've been seeing. I went through all of the test (yes, he checked my bp, breathing, etc. as well). I got tested approx. 2 months after starting and will be testing every 3 months (I think it is) after that.

Yes, he likes to push his products but I just politely decline them unless it's something I need or makes sense. Mainly, he likes to push vitamins. Some of the prices aren't bad but others are high. Can always get vitamins elsewhere.

I will say, however, it's sort of a, "pill mill," there to be honest. But, they do seem to understand TRT (for the most part) even if they're somewhat aggressive in their treatment at times. So I'm not trying to say it's all perfect. But they do prescribe/sell HCG as well, which is a plus since I see so many docs who refuse to do so.

I'd suggest reading up around here (and elsewhere) a lot before you make your first appointment and before you decide to start up. You can make informed decisions about what they're telling you then.
