I just came to donate blood right after a work out. My blood pressure was 140/80. Freaked me out. I had the girl take my blood pressure afterwards to see if it changed for the better. It was 140/90!!! Wtf?!?! Am I overreacting? Or is there an issue? She didn't think it was overly high. But that seems awful high to me. What are your guys opinions?

    You're definitely overreacting.
Nothing to be alarmed about after a workout.
Try doing it when your body isn't flooded with adrenaline.

Does the bp going up directly after donating seem weird? One would think it would go down. At least in my theory lol

I had it taken by a new Docter on Monday. I'm always right where it should be. He said I was 140/100. Took it an hour later it was perfect. It was most likely nerves. I was told by the new doc it was prob from being in a new place with a new person.

Didnt they measure your bp before the donation?
Thought it was pretty standard to get checked out and questionaire before donation.
