The beginning... much more to come. I am currently as of 4-2-13 5'11" 320lbs and between 40-50% BF (see pics). On August 1st of 2012 I suffered a severe motorcycle accident. My right leg was partially severed and my foot was de-gloved. I have undergone 4 major surgeries since, to try and save my leg, and tomorrow I go in for another surgery to swap out the titanium rod, and do a bone graft. Since the accident, I have been completely chair bound with a PICC line up until about a month and a half ago. I put on nearly 70lbs during this time... some from the inactivity/immobility, some from a side effect of a controversial nerve blocker (25-30lbs in about 3 weeks) which I took myself off of, and the rest just from piling junk into my face. I also found out about a month ago that I have severely low testosterone (other threads in another forum). So... today it starts. I am currently fasting for my surgery tomorrow, and am putting together a clean diet plan for after. Not surprisingly, my BW shows signs of slight insulin resistance, and my BP has gone up (not terribly, but still higher than normal). I am going to shoot for 2000-2300 calories per day, and to cut out simple sugars and processed foods. It's aggressive and will be hard, but I have 2 kids and a bum leg... I need to do this for many reasons, but the biggest reason is me, I'm sick of looking at myself like this. In the next couple days I'll be putting together a food plan with info from this forum and from other sites. Wish me luck people, cuz I'm gonna need it. As it stands now my protocol is as follows:
Androgel 1.62@2 pumps per day
vit D3 5000 units@1 in AM, 1 in PM
vit B12 5000 mcg sublingual in AM
DHEA 25mg micronized @ 1 in AM, 1 in PM
pregnelenolone 50mg micronized @ 1 in AM
Omega 3 pills @ 1 in AM, 1 in PM
liquid Cia @ 5mg in AM, 5mg in PM
I'm sitting on HCG and MTII until after my surgery, but they will be added to my protocol. My diet goal is to focus on higher protein, and lower carbs, especially simple sugars.
So far today I'm still taking in liquids, and will for sure continue with these two and then add solids back in:
Protein powder=220cal, 50g prot, 3g carb, 1g fat... probably 2 servings a day, but I'll see where I'm at when I get my full diet planned out
Fiber powder=90cal, carb 24g... twice daily.
