    How Much Protein With My Bedtime Story?

    I know that I need at least 1g of protein for every pound of body weight. I know I need to eat 7 or 8 meals a day. I know each meal must contain high quality protein. I know that the body heals during sleep and that's when my body builds muscle.

    What I don't know is how much protein I should have before I go to sleep. How much is too much and goes to waste? How should I divide my daily protein intake between my pre-workout, post-workout, regular meals and bedtime meal?

    I'd say you would want at least 30g protein with each full meal meaning at least for at least 4 of your meals a day... Other 2-3 small meals you have throughout the day can obviously contain less as they have less calories but your protein shakes etc should suffice for the rest after you've gotten at least 120 from real foods...If you've had enough protein and hit your calories for your goals it doesn't really matter how much you eat right before bed?? I will say that i don't think it's as good to have 200g protein before bed because all you ate was carbs and fats earlier during the day and that i think it would be much better spread throughout the day with 30g+ here and there..but that's just my opinion i think it will absorb better that way

    I get at least 20g protein with each of my 6 or 7 meals throughout the day and then about 60g at bedtime so I'd say I'm getting enough and it's reasonably well-spread. I don't think I'm taking too much at night as my pee isn't smelly, I'm just wondering if there is a better way to distribute it.
