German couple jailed for selling son to paedophiles on dark net

A woman who sold her son to paedophiles on the dark net for sex has been jailed for 12 years and six months by a court in southern Germany.

The Freiburg court also jailed her partner, the boy's stepfather, for 12 years. The boy was nine when the trial began in June.

Berrin Taha, 48, and Christian Lais, 39, are both German nationals, living in Staufen near Freiburg.

The dark net is an internet area beyond the reach of mainstream search engines.

On Monday the court jailed a Spanish man for 10 years for repeatedly sexually abusing the boy.

The couple were found guilty of rape, aggravated sexual assault of children, forced prostitution and distribution of child pornography.

Video showing the boy's sexual abuse included him suffering verbal humiliation and swearing, and he was tied up.

In addition to 12 years in jail, Lais was sentenced to preventive detention.

The boy is now living with foster parents.

I know many people are against capital punishment and say it isn't a true deterrent, but I'm sorry....you execute these type of abhorrent individuals and it is one hell of a deterrent because they sure won't ever do this type of sh!t again.
They just made life extremely painful for this child, odds are he will carry it with him for the rest of his life.

No doubt will be in isolation to prevent them being murdered in prison. Not too bad of a punishment eh.

Death if not torture then death for these individuals. Spend the money on anti child sex trafficking not feeding these fucks for 12 years for them to get out and commit again.

I think sentencing is way out for high risk of harm offences and for some crimes I can see no reason in keeping these people in custody at a cost of the tax payer.

Some countries are just to lenient, if this crime was committed in the USA these people would never see day light again.

In the UK 12 yrs doesn't mean 12 yrs, you would be liable for parole at 6 yrs and usually come out on licence.
