Pork can definitely be incorporated into your diet, OP.
Personally, I don't eat pork and do limit my intake of scavenger-type food sources for basically the same reasons as T-boner posted above, but again that's an individual choice.
There are plenty of successful bodybuilders and powerlifters that do include pork in their diet.
