Weider 25lb plates less than 1 dollar a pound at Walmart

I know this might get some hate, with the brand and all, but I have these weights and just ordered 4 more. No, they aren't Body Solid or Rogue, but YOUR body can't tell the difference. The ones I have now are well finished and within a half pound of indicated weight by the bath room scale. This is at Walmart, with free shipping. I also ordered 2 35lb plates at $37 a piece, so for a total, tax and all, of about $160, I'm getting a total of 170 pounds of brand new weights. Less than a buck a pound for brand new plates.

Granted, I wouldn't normally have ANY love for 35#, but hey, they are available and maybe I can flip them at a profit if I decide I don't want to keep them.

Oh and as you can see, these are not bumper weights, just good iron. The set I have is an EXCELLENT bang for the buck.

Not repping, just putting it out there for you home gym folks...

I've got a few. Don't recall if I bought them on sale at Wal-Mart or used, but they are functional.

I think some of my plates may be older than me.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Cy if you were closer I’d just give you these. They’re just collecting dust right now. Might be cost prohibitive to ship them I’m guessing . . .

True story. I was looking for a bench to outfit my home gym with, preferably with a leg attachment, about 6 months before the pandemic. Found a cheap (normally $100) Marcy at Dicks, on sale for $60 bucks, included a 100lb standard weight set, the plastic covered concrete like what you have there. Bought a quick release pin at Home Depot for 8 bucks, so I could take the leg attachment off easy, and sold the weights plus the barbell that came with them (a hollow pipe of dubious strength) for $50. So, for a net of a little less than $20, I got my bench. 600 lb capacity on the bench, though I'm well away from putting that to the test.

I'm sure I could have gotten more if I hold sold them during the pandemic, but eh, it's all good.
