This is a poll, MY poll, and you can't add anything. There is no "other, please explain" option. I was the biggest loser here in the late 80's, so I and I alone am versed in the NES games. That being said, pick and defend please.
Tyson's Punchout
Excite Bike
Super Mario Brothers
Baseball Stars
Super Tecmo Bowl
Blades of Steel
Pro Wrestling
The Legend of Zelda
Contra
Metroid

I'm going to give the first vote to "Baseball Stars"...not only for it's gameplay, but for the fact that it was, to my knowledge, the first game that allowed you to manipulate variables such as names and earn and increase attributes in a sports game.
Super Mario Brothers.........
anybody remember these........cant believe I still remember them to this day

Justin Bailey, hell yeah. That was a metriod code, it let see that Samus was really a woman. I think it also started you with the wave gun, and one mini-boss was defeated.Originally Posted by mass junkie
Super Tecmo Bowl no doubt that game ruled. Zelda was my next...well heres my list
1.Super Tecmo Bowl
2.Legend of Zelda
3.Metroid
4.Super Mario Brothers
5.Tyson's Punchout
Now for Super NES Ken Griffy was the hands down winner
I certainly won't argue with your list, but no one cares or ever did care about Super NES....Sega dominated the 16-bit market. On another note, I have not received due respect for importing the bananas to the ARFFL homepage...thou givest and thou can taketh away.Originally Posted by RON
Super mario and punchout tie.
Super Tecmo Bowl is one sweet game!!! thats my vote
Thank you Oh benevolent ruler of the ARFFL. I'll make a thread for you in the ARFFL forum here.
That's all I ask for. By the way, I did a bit of statistical analysis of the upcoming games for the homepage breakdown. Of the final four, you have the lowest average over your last four games (183.5) but far and away the greatest consistency and least deviation from the average. Should be interesting.Originally Posted by RON
Those numbers the Bad Bunnies put up last week kinda scared me but I didn't find his lineup to be to intimidating at all. Specially when I saw the head to head match up with me. I'm definitely not looking past to PN but I can see me in the finals. Well seeOriginally Posted by BigGreen
And who can forget the classic "Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B, A, B, Select, Start"??
That is burried in my head. Plus I still remember how to get 99 men on level 2 in Super MB. and how to get out of the lost forrest in Zelda.Originally Posted by BigGreen

I never did anything crazy like that with no wrestling game but when warzone came out for playstation, that was like the best time ever, alot of the matches we played in the game broke out in real wrestling... sore losers heh.
punch out! but has anyone here actually beat tyson?
yes he's easy. you're either going to TKO him in the 3rd round or just win by decision. either way you better knock him down a few times and not get your face pummeled. you can get close to TKOing him in the 2nd round, but you gotta keep from gettin hit the entire round and get your licks in. most of the time you can get 2 knockdowns and the 3rd one is about to come but the bell rings.Originally Posted by anadrol devourer

Just an FYI, all the games you mentioned will cost you no more than 4 dollars at a game store, with the exception of Contra. Contra cost 13 dollars. I guess it's that popular. It is a great game. RR
my vote is for tecmo bowl. great game, except that the 49ers seemed to be so much faster than every other team. i wasted many days playing that game.
don't forget about walter payton's defense with the bears.Originally Posted by sin
Blades of Steel of course!
gotta be Zelda. I don't know why, but I loved that game above all others.
Can't help but love Super Mario Bros.
Baseball Stars was a great game that I think never got enough attention. It was great that you could make players stronger, faster, etc...
Contra, Excite Bike, Metroid....all excellent games as well.
Does anyone remember Robot Wars? I think that's right. It was the baseball robot game where you buy parts for them in order to improve them. That was another game that I don't think got the attention it deserved.
Zelda still rules though.

That was a fun game.
How about Rygar and Karnov or mega man?
punchout is the best!
I have an nes emulator for my pc, I have all the games, every once in a while, I will feel the need to take it to mike tyson and I fire it up. It is an awesome program, I bet there are over 200 games.....and its only 500meg, can you believe we were all so captivated by these!
