    Protien powder

What makes one so much better than the other.
The EAS in the middle is two scoops giving 26 grams of protien

The precision on the right is 2 scoops giving 60 grams

The big jug is just trash I burn up a little at a time.

Is it all just advertising or what ?Click image for larger version.

Wat do you mean by better? Having a higher protein content doesn't necessarily mean one is better than the other. But the difference can be explained by serving size, use of fillers, purity, et.

I always try to read the labels carefully when comparing products.

Each company will always claim their product is superior to get more people to buy it.

The only thing I can advice you is make sure you are comparing apples to apples ie whey isolate with whey isolate, grams/scoop, cost, etc.

I am also particularly cautious of "proprietary blends" as the exact ingredients and quantities can become fuzzy.

whey protein is whey protein is whey protein is whey protein. Isolate, hydrolized, etc. IMO the difference in bioability is negligible.

True ^ However the added processing does make a difference in price, that is what I meant by comparing similar types.

Some protein powders have a crap ton of other stuff added to them you may not want like additional sugar for example, some also don't taste very good. I've been using ON Gold Standard and I've been pretty satisfied.

I prefer the cheapest whey concentrate available.

And some are too sweet for my tastes.

You have to ask yourself what are your goals - and what products can help you get there. For some seasons I need more carbs and fat, but if I'm leaning out I want one with lower fats and carbs. I always go back to Isopure Zero carb to cut - it doesn't taste like much, but it will never hurt me.

I also like a whey and casein mix if I'm hungry in the night - slower release.

Completely agree - I use a protein powder that's pretty high in sugars (generally cheapest, and I'll alternate between whatever's on sale) but that's on a bulk. If on a cut, I agree with Giggle - Isopure is my choice.

Since I don't use much protein powder and am never bulking, I buy the stuff with less sugar. I will have to look into isopure!

The USDA allows a +/- 20% from what is listed on a label.
