signing on from other computers

why is it that where ever i sign on to the AR site it always knows it's me??i never have to sign in w/ a password or anything??hmmmmmmm sketchy??

Well there is an option that keeps your name constantly and signs in automaticaly. If you check that option off then it will ask you for the name and password all the time.

when i sign on at my beach house it already knows it's me when i go to the site?i never use that computer.ok whatever.i'm a computer idiot.it just seemed weird

Partyboy if you go to a computer that you've never used to logged onto AR it wouldn't have your info. It's just that you've used it at one time and it's stored in the cookies of the computer. In the user CP it asks if you want to use cookies to store the info and you must have checked yes. If someone was on your computer and logged onto AR it would show as you being online.

The bottom line is that once you have signed on from any computer, that computer will remember your sign-on information. Therefore, if it's a computer which you do not intend to use on a regular basis, remember to log off after you are done using A.R. If you don't, someone can not only see where you've been (through the brower history on the computer), they can also use the board with your I.D.

ok partyboy, I fixed it so you have to log in every time you come onto AR. It will never automatically log you in again. I am here to help you dummy proof your computer.
