Where can i put steak in my cutting diet?

Hey i outlined a diet using the "unofficial how to cut thread" and i would like to know where i can have steak as a protein/fat meal.

    Cardio

MEal 1- protein/fat (In the how to cut thread, it says the 1st meal should be a protein/carb meal, which one should i choose? )

    Meal 2- protein/carb - 45g Protein and 18-20g Carbs

    Meal 3- protein/veggie - 45g Protein and 1 cup green veggie

    WORKouT

Meal 4 (PWO)- 45g whey and 75g Dex

    1 hour later

Meal 5- 45g Protein, 18-20g Carbs, and 1 cup green veggies

    Meal 6- 45 g Whey w/ Flax

I'm 5'11 177lbs with 13% bodyfat and have split my calories with 55% protein, 22% carbs and 24% fat.
Also, on off days, i would be missing out on the PWO shake, so should i consume MEal 6 1-1.5 hours after Meal 5?

PRO/FAT MEAL IF YOU DO CARDIO FIRST THING IN THE A.M. ON AN EMPTY STOMACH, OTHERWISE USE THIS MEAL AS PRO/CARB.

    Meal 2- protein/carb - 45g Protein and 18-20g Carbs

YOU NEED PRO/FAT HERE. COULD USE STEAK HERE.

    Meal 3- protein/veggie - 45g Protein and 1 cup green veggie

YOU NEED PRO/FAT MEAL HERE. COULD USE STEAK HERE AS WELL.

A preworkout isnt necessary as your body doesnt have much time to digest it and creates a less anabolic environment when you dont workout on an empty stomach. Read the sticky's at the top of the page for how your diet should be set up.

Meal 2 or 3 like Daman said or you can have 7 meals instead of 6 (same calories though) and throw in a steak any time of the day except pwo and p-pwo. Make sure the steak is lean and in the correct ratios. Be careful b/c a small serving usually yields a large amount of calories.

No, veggies are one thing you can just as as you wish. Nothing but fiber really. The only veggie I avoid is corn and my favorite is green beans..

so on a AM cardio and training day, should the 1st meal be a pro/carb right after cardio? OR should a pro/fat meal be consume whether or not if its training day or not?

sorry about that. I was wondering whether or not a pro/fat meal is needed right after cardio if you are training with weights later on that day.

Again it all depends on what the REST of your dietary outline consists of, your goals, and the activity you are performing. There really is no "1" answer to your question.

well is it ideal to consume a pro/carb meal 30 minutes after a cardio session on lifting days and on nonlifting days while cutting? If not, when should a pro/carb meal be ideal in the day?

I'd have to speculate and say yes, probably most likely no, not really maybe.

Then again it really depends, I don't know.

Looking at redz's meal 5, shouldn't carb intake be bumped up to around 75g 1 hr pwo? That was what rambo had on the thread.

Also, on workout days if you start of with cardio and a pro/fat breakfast, do you need to try and put in the pro/carb meal you lost as a breakfast on non-cardio days?

the amount of carbs PWO and PPWO is dependent on the person's weight and daily caloric intake. 75g is just a start and is not for everyone. also the pro/carb meal lost for breakfast can be made up either 45 minutes after doing cardio, or by just eating more veggies during the day. on off lifting days i get about 50-60 carbs with 25-30 protein and it seems to work. i just eat more veggies and have some low carb wraps and/or fiber 1 throughout the day to keep up with fiber.
