Heating up gear before injecting

I've heard of many people who microwave their gear for short amounts of time to heat the gear and make the injections potentially less painful...

Only one question: What about the metal part on the vials? Wouldn't this be a no-no in a microwave??

I just run it under warm tap water bro...no need to nuke it.

I only heat my gear to either disolve the crystals in susp or to thin the oil and help it get thru the needle, dont notice any pain differences.

I run mine under warm water as well, only due to using a small guage needle. I wouldn't feel comfortable nuking it.. not sure what that might do the chemicals?? maybe nothing, but I would not feel comfortable not knowing.

I fill the pin and then just hold the pin in my mouth while i get the alcohol and cotten to clean the shot area. you can tell when it gets to body temp. But if ina hurry I would just use the how water.

if you think the micro might be bad....
just put it on the oven for sevral min.... just leave the door open
and leave a needle to let the air escapeee
ive done it before.... and works great

all the alchol would evapourate and the gear wouldn't be sterile anymore
