probably tanning oil would work.

tanning oil and being out in the sun gets you nice and shiny and vascular. I think the key would be to make sure the exposure on the camera is right or else definition won't be fully brought out.

There is no fooling a camera. You can lead it another way, but not too far really. The camera tells all. Pro Tan products will be your best assistant in misleading a camera. Other than that you just gotta look good before you let that thing start rolling.lol, yeah I guess that's the most important thing. Yes and overhead lighting. A light on the camera is bad because best way to see abs and muscle definition is to have shadows.... overhead lighting helps muscles and abs become more noticable then with camera side lighting or flash.
