I recently saw at my gym they were selling flax oil with lignans in it. What are lignans and should I be using this instead of my regular flax oil? I checked the label and the one with lignans only has 1 g less good fat than the regular.

Yes, use the flax with lignans...it has some anti cancer properties in it etc...bla bla bla...

yup the ligans. like muriloninja said - either antioxidants or some such. good for keepin cancer away.
