Anyone have mild acne scars on their back or shoulders? if so is there anyway to remove or minimize their appearance? Or is cosmetic surgery the only way?

get a tan.
That can have the oposite effect but it depends. Some scars will stay "white" while the skin in general gets darker = bigger contrasts in the skin. If the scar is red it can be even more red and irritated - the contrast will be even more noticable.Originally Posted by chrisAdams
But I agree, tanning can in a way compensate for the scars and darker skin can also make them less noticable (probably if it's mild acne). Keep in mind that new skin is not so protected.
I have the same prob, bro - looking into a solution myself. I think daily exfoliation is probably the best home remedy. Will probably pursue chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and whatnot later in life.
They have a scar removal cream that you can buy OTC, but I don't know how well it works.
I have acne scars on my face. They're not too bad, but I notice them. I've never heard of a scar removal cream, I'll have to research that.
You can get the stuff at Wal-mart, bro. It's usually $20-30 a tube, but last time I was there, WM had a generic for like 12 bucks. I bought one, just haven't tried it yet. Don't know how well it's supposed to work either.
Thanks Fellas
No prob, bro - hope that helped a little
