i ripped mine not too long ago. i laid off for 4 weeks, came back, ripped it again. laid off another 6 wks, did more of a weening into it and now i'm back, and liftin more than before. granted i'm on my first cycle now too.

1hr after went to my sports injury specialist. he said that there is a minor taer and one of my ligaments was hurt. he thinks that the ligament was the cause of the peck taer. i haven't had very much busing. so it's not the worst, but can't lift sh!t. thanks for the support bro's

Don't lift until your doc clears you to do so! Better to take a few months off, now, than to be plagued by this thing for the next 20 years of intermittent training. Did I say a few months? Hey, whatever the doc says.

i would do rehab.. it really speeds up the healing process... ive strained/had minor tears a few times, and i suggest that u get as much rehab as possible

I'm working through a very similar pec tear right now. I tore it, came back, tore it again etc. etc. So, now I'm taking 2 months off from any type of benching or chest excersises and then I'm going to work back into it slowly. Hopefully in about 6 months I'll be healed and pressing over 400.

good luck with the healing. i think i got too impatient the first time. over 400, WOW!! i'm nowhere near that caliber yet, but hopin to be in due time. this is my first cycle so i still got plenty of work to do. hope all goes well and keep me posted on how well you heal. balls out

I got a real minor tear in my pec about a month ago. Some slight bruising. I kept lifting but didn't bench full range for a couple weeks and it just healed on it's own.

Bro, I tore my chest where it joins the shoulder a year and a half ago... It took about 8 freakin months to heal(it was pretty bad my whole arm was black and blue). It sucks.. because my chest is my lagging point...

i ripped mine 2 summers ago and took almost 8 months off. anything i did, hurt like hell. even now, i'm still hurting when i hit a certain weight. i can't live heavy and i don't think i ever will. it's something that stays with u, but i'd say take as much time off as u need man. no need to rip it twice (which is what i did, when i came back 2 months later). make sure u're taking glutamine and vitamins.

don't do the surgery if they offer u. it's even worse than healing it naturally.

not really that bad, my brother ripped his entire peck major off. it was hanging in front like a big titty, also bruised instantly. had to get surgery, they had to drill through his bone and tie the muscle back on. left a bad scar. it took him 10 months to heal and still not the same.

wow bro, thats really weird because on monday i was doing chest and i was maxing out at 395. as i was lowering the barbell to my chest i felt a little tear on my peck. it wasnt horrible feeling i was able to finish the rep. but i think its strained i am taking it easy this week on anything that will effect it and i will try on monday to do a light chest workout to see how it goes.
