Just good old fashion adrenaline pumping a$$ woopin... LOL
The one that doesnt get you knocked out and shit kicked.. Can't say the best since every scenerio is different
None of those are good really. Rarely will you get to use any of those techniques in a street fight. The best training for street fight is being in alot of street fights.
Working on the doors i see a lot of fights and they have one thing in common. They all end up on the floor. Strongest/best wrestler wins unless there are a load of other guys joining in as well. I've worked with and seen quite a few "martial arts experts" who normally manage to fire off about 1 strike before they get the crap beaten out of them. If your strong and you have stamina and your not drunk you win!!!

so your saying if a professional lightweight or middle-weight boxer went against some real big guy whose gotten into maybe one or two fights....the big guy would win? Ive seen a ton of fights where the smaller guy wins not only wins but destroys the other guy, big guys biggest weakness = under-estimating.
i take the word 'professional' back, I just would like to think that someone with some sort of martial art or fighting style experience would have an advantage... right off the bat the vast majority of people cant throw punches with their left hand, and thats definitely helped me greatly in fights. I think strength is just as important as speed and how hard you hit...you can lift all the weights you want i dont see how its going to reduce the damage you take from a punch/knee/headbutt to the face. One fight where I completely got my ass kicked the kid hit me square in that spot thats like in the middle right below your pecs and like right above your abs, completely knocked the wind out of me i couldnt do nething, and he was smaller than me![]()
I'd say Muay Thai. Learning to use elbows and knees is really helpful since the strikes you can give with those are way more brutal.
But there's nothing like experience. The more you fight, the more you learn to fight. Also, taking a couple of good ass whoopin' helps a lot (believe it or not). As it is often said: "You learn from your mistakes"
mauy thai and BJJ would be the best imo

I don't fight often and try to stay the heck away fom it, but my personal opinion is "any way to win" is best... fight dirty, throw sand in eyes, beat'em with a tire iron, use a chain, gouge out eyes...
I'm a vindictive ba$tard and cannot bear to lose... if I lose a battle, I'll keep coming back with whatever I need to win the war.

the glock 45 method with hollow point emphasis is also a very good techique

good ole Old Fashion Ghetto Stomp. im with red. Do what you have to to win! bitting, kicking, pulling , scratching ,punching, choking, what ever puts your odds at top

I'd say Isreali Krav Maga or Ninjitsu. Both of those styles emphasize wicked mean fighting. The goal on those is to take out your opponent as quickly as possible with as much force as can be generated.
yea...its possible. if you are strong enough why let the bastard hit you, wrap him up, that boxer has never tried to hit anybody from the floor. and he sure doesnt know how to wrestle. how will you punch somebody who has you twisted up like a pretzel because they are much stronger than you?so your saying if a professional lightweight or middle-weight boxer went against some real big guy whose gotten into maybe one or two fights....the big guy would win? a lot of UFC fighters are from wrestling backgrounds.Originally Posted by Jimmya73

i prefer the Ground and Pound method myself
Just like I do it in bed.....Dirty. Yes Dirty is an official fighting style.
I do agree with the above...MOST fights end up to the ground. It's all about doing as much damage as you can before it goes to the ground (at least for me). I can handle my own on the ground, but I wont win against someone with any decent wrestling background.
A good first solid punch can go a long way. They will do one or two things when they feel their tooth come lose...either back down or want to kill you. I figure if its the latter, than at least I have that first damage in.
With that said, I prefer to avoid fights. I hate the idiots who are out looking for fights. I always, and I mean always, let the fight come to me. It's been a good strategy.
just get one of your bigger friends to fight the guy.

Pretty inconclusive poll! You left out some important MA:
Sambo
Kung Fu
Judo
And Wha rang do is the same as tae kwon do. wha rang was a special group of youth doing tae kwon do.
But IMO Sambo, wrestling and thai would make you the ultimate fighter!

50% true. The only way to be a good fighter is from experience!! But its not rare to use certain techniques in a fight. IMO yes, nobody is gonna pull any karate $hit on me but 95% of my fights (any wrestler) I use wrestling technique. DOUBLE, GROUND AND POUND!!!Originally Posted by Testsubject

im gonna have to go with grappling...cuz it basically is street fighting...
and where is bouncer in this thread?
Damn, all this fighting. I say fight dirty.
There's an official term for fighting dirty thats called "target focus training" which you can find out about at http://www.tftgroup.com. Its pretty impressive and makes you realize that in any fight, its better to win then to care about sport and the like. You just might save your own life. Plus the fact that it allows headstomps is pretty cool.
If you don't know Karate, you better know CRAZY!
