Don't piss around with laptops...go straight to Dell. I have had 6 laptops and I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for with laptops. They are too finicky to piss around and worry about saving a hew hundred.

MBH you are more right then you know. Now that you say that, everyone seems to have a problems with their laptop when they are "on sale, or cheap"

Through work I have used Compaq's, HP's, IBM's, Toshiba's, Gateway's, and Dell's. As far as owning...Compaq's sucked. IBM's were nice...but too expensive and the support sucked. Dell is bar none the best place for laptops. I have dealt with them for years now.
