ok i got a 120 gig drive yesterday, hooked it up to my pc and it works great. i also got an external usb case for it. for some reason it isnt recognized by winxp. my computer or disk management have no record of it being a drive. when i first plug it in windows sees the drive but then says it had a problem installing the drive. im thinking it could be a bad usb cable. any ideas?
i also tried installing the drivers from the manuf web site with no luck.

Are you sure your computer has USB 2.0 ports? If they are USB 1 ports it may cause problems.

You either have a shitty enclosure or wrong jumper setting on the drive
