like the subject.. i'm cutting, could fried chicken be used a a pro/fat meal?
no skin, no breading or anything like that just cooked in some olive oil. is this a bad idea? cause it tastes wayy to good.

Yes, bad idea.
if there's no breading then i dont see why it would be bad.
why? if he's cooking it in olive oil...without skin or breading, its just a pro/fat meal.Originally Posted by chest6

I would'nt see anything wrong with it i guess but i would'nt make it a staple of my cutting diet...its hard to calculate the amount of fats you are getting plus heat is said to kill some of the EFA properties in Olive Oil.
Not a problem. I often toss a couple boneless/skinless chicken tits on the frying pan with olive oil...throw in some buffallo franks hot sauce...great tasting prot/fat meal.
I love fried chicken breasts! olive oil 110 calories tbs 15ml yum........
thats the only way i eat chicken breasts now, for either my pro/fat or pro/carb. i dont use olive oil though, just veg oil and a pair of skinless, boneless chicken TITS!
KFC full to the brim
TR'05--you put hot sauce on the chicken while its in the pan? is that like texas pete or thicker?
ive tried different kinds of seasonings and now im on breadcrumbs and im looking for more flavors and new shit to do cuz i eat a few a day.

Not too sure about the comparison to texas pete...don't think we have it up here (Canada). Frank's is not too thick at all. They make it in a few flavours- buffallo being my favourite. I just toss the hot sauce into the frying pan right at the end and let the titties simmer in the sauce for a bit. Try it out with whatever hot sauce you can find, though. Its the only way i eat chicken now.
Sorry about that. For some reason I thought I saw it was breaded. Either editted or I cant read![]()
TR I do do the same thing. Hot sauce right in the pan is the only way to go. I've been getting sick of the foreman so I thought I'd give this a try. For me it helps if i keep the pan covered, keeps the chicken less dry if anyone is interested in making it.
NO DONT DO IT!!!
i cant believe everyone is saying its ok !
when you fry olive oil, canola oil or any other HEALTHY oil, it will change the molecule structure and it becomes a TRANS or SATURATED fat!
Dont what you will with that info!
Olive oil , flax oil etc. shouldnt be cooked if you want the full benefits of the EFA's
well thanks for ruining the party. jk, looks like thats getting cut out of the diet
especially since your cutting..if you were bulking then its a different story.

dude its not like when we're done cooking we pour all the left over oil and grease all over our chicken, at least i dont. a couple teaspoons oil in the pan, cook the boobs, take em out. i havent measured it but when im done cooking (and i cook about 6 at a time) there is just about the same amount of oil still in the pan. so the way i see it the oil can be saturated, trans fats, or even motor oil for all i care cuz im barely ingesting any. by the way im always bulking, but i think once upon a time if i ever cut i will eat chicken the same way.
I wouldnt try it cutting even if it was bad. It's the mindset of frying chicken. Just stick with cardboard grilled chicken.
I just fry mine in a pan w no oil. Fs up the pan and kinda burns the chicken but tastes yummy!
or pam cooking spray
I am bulking and i eat it all the time, without the skin, well maybe a little![]()
yeah why not just use no fat cooking spray?
I don't know how much oil you fellas use to cook the titties in but, for me, the amount i use is nominal. Im guessing less than a tbsp...I always toss in another fat with the meal after cooking. Tbsp of mayo mixed with the chicken and hot sauce is amazing IMO.
great info, though, bigrob. I had no idea that was the case.
Theres alternatives to pan frying it..
Just marinade it overnight and stick it in the oven.
THeres a million awesome marinades out there. Taste great out of the oven too.
Did no one care to read my post about the effects on EFA when fried or grilled? I feel so useless....![]()
good info, i've definitely cut it.. big rob mentioned baking which i do quite often (good stuff) but are there any more alternatives? i just can't handle the foreman 3 times a day anymore.

Exactly. Pam works great to eliminate sticky messes. Other than that, add the oil after if you want the EFA;s.Originally Posted by bigrob33
