Amps that break in your hands. WTF!?

OK, so the other day I was going to inject some sust.

I like to do the following when breaking open the amps
- I hold the amp in my right fist.
- I wrap my left hand around my right hand (almost looks like I`m praying)
- Then I use a thumb to press at the top of the amp. If it doesn`t snap when "correct" use of force is applied, I rotate it to find the weakness in the glass.

As you know the glass is supposed to be a bit weak right in the bottleneck, on one side, so that it can be snapped open.

Well, I did my procedure and lo and behold, the whole thing imploded on me.
Turns out that the weakness in the glass stretched all the way down one side of the amp, from top to bottom. This resulted in me driving my thumb through the amp and getting juice and broken glass all over my hands.

I picked up another amp, and did the excact same thing. This time it went flawlessly.
I did another couple of injections as time went by, and yesterday it almost happened again. Only this time, the "ring" area where the amp is supposed to break remained intact and instead only the top centimeter of the the amp disintegrated. It resulted in cursing and some minor bleeding, but I was able to inject the juice.

Have any of you guys experienced this poor quality in the glass of the manufactorer?
My source has been de****g roids for at least 22 years (he got busted by the cops in the early 80s) and I`ve known him for years, so he`s got legit sources and isn`t screwing me over. That makes it all the more strange.

With amps your supposed to file it down a bit BEFORE splitting off the top. It's not intended to just be broken off. Thats what the usual lines are for.

score the neck with a steak knife or serrated pocket knife before snapping it...

yup i file them down for like 2 seconds then put a pen cap over the top of it for some leverage and they pop right off with no problem.. i've prob opened like 60amps and never lost one. No more worries with that tho i'm going powder woo hoo

You need a small scoring stone to scratch the edges before attempting to break them. Althought you can get lucky sometimes, unless they are pre-scorn, you should always scratch the entire cicumference of the vials at the neck. Good Luck!

Ive never scored an amp and Ive never had one break on me, just grab it with one hand and with the other hand and a pen cap try to break it as fast as you can, you shouldnt have a problem. I had these galenika amps, the necks on them were huge, I never scored them and not one broke. And, if your thumb just went right through the amp you were prolly holding the damn thing to tight.

Search on ebay for a "ampoule opener", this is a helpful tool. It's simple to use, you put the top portion of the amp in the bottom of the opener and align the scorer to portion of amp to score, than squeeze the opener and turn the bottom of the amp at the same time, this will score the top portion of amp. With the amp still in the tool snap to top of the amp off. The opener is about two inches long, which gives you more leverage on the top of the amp. Never had a problem using this tool and it only cost a couple of bucks

anywhere near my gear. Try it
once without,and a BIC pencap.

Ask a friend or a 'supplier' for a glass-cutting stone...for example the one's you would get with a kit of Jintropin or even some test prop multi-amp kits.

They last long and get the job done so easily that you sometimes feel like opening more amps than needed just for the fun of it

I can remember breaking a few Sus 250 amps from Egypt a few years ago - they were hard as a rock and not even a proper knife managed to do the trick...

Yeah amp openers are definitely worth it I paid about $10 back then the pen top trick works also .Damn that sucks u keep breakin amps in ur hand u better lick it up ur spillen money !

the only ones i had shatter were sust ones come to think of it. i just run a serated blade of some sort arond the skinny part of the neck,flick the top a couple times an always geta clean break then

Yeah, my amp was an organon sus250 as well. Guess there`s at least one incompetent moron at the "assembly line" who keeps ****ing up our amps

thats all i use! I still managed to get a piece of glass in my hand once though, it's still in there floating around; I feel it from time to time.
