Question Cortisol build up after cycle

    Hello,

What methods do u use to keep cortisol levels low after a cycle?
I`m asking this quesiotn as i would like to minimize the catabolic effect
    when stopping a cycle.
What drugs/suppliments do you use in PCT to combat/block/eliminate Cortisol?

    Thanks,
    Kevin.

I love using Clen in PCT for that reason, has always treated me very well.

No one can answer that for you. People can give the doses that worked for them but there is no definite for what will work for you. I got my best results with minimal sides at 60mcg.

Start low (20mcg) and work your way up by adding another 20mcg daily. Find your tolerance and work with that. Tons of threads on Clen on this board alone. Run a search, you wont be disappointed.

For cutting up i run clen @100-120mcg`s with tolerable sides, what i wanted to know is, what percentage of the cutting dose do you use post cycle to combat cortisol (not burning fat/muscle)?,
    Thanks

Same dose maybe a little bit lower. I.E. I use 60mcg for a drop in BF, 40mcg for PCT.

I LOVE clen on PCT BUT Im afraid of the possible consequences to the heart in the long run.. Seen some studies but they provide very limited info... (enough to get me a lil worried but not enough to get me to leave clen out)

You can use Cytadren, it inhibits the production of cortisol.

I`ve read about it... but nasty sides; Liver toxiticy, lethargy, mood swings. Have you ever tried it personally?

Yes, when i was in the end off a cuttingcycle, over the pct and some weeks while i was off.

    cycling:
Did 2weeks on and off with 500mg/ed

    Effects:
I could workout 6days a week and did not get overtrained.
Got to keep most of the gains from my cycle.

    Sides:
I'd not get any sides that i noticed, but in the body how knows

correct me if im wrong, but cant Cytadren permentilty shut down the ability to convert testosterone into estrodiol? And when you inhibit cortisol there will always be a rebound spike right? So basically either take the spike when you come off the cycle or a little bit later.

"If you are thinking about using Cytadren for this purpose, I’d have to tell you to forget it. Three grams of Vitamin C lowers your Cortisol around as much as 1,000mgs of Cytadren, from the literature I’ve seen on both, and the Vitamin C doesn’t do it at the expense of your adrenal responsiveness (7). A gram of Vitamin C lowered cortisol by 1/3rd in UltraMarathon Competitors(8) (these are the people who apparently don’t have cars, so they feel compelled to run 90 kilometers at a time). I just can’t justify taking Cytadren for an extended period of time to reduce cortisol, when Vitamin can do the same thing, more cheaply, and has other added benefits."

Everthing ive read points to it elevating cortisol. In fact i had a thread on this forum a few months back, and the closest thing to a positive comment i heard was it had no effect on cortisol.

You can also try phosphatydil serine. In upwards of 800 mgs daily it is known to inhibit cortisol to some extent but i dont know exact numbers.

Very very good info here. As far as studies (please dont ask me to look then uo, its been a while) Both PS and Vit C have been shown to lower Cortisol levels. Actually much better then Clen.

In my personal use I have used PS @800mgs and Vit C at 3g ED while on PCT and al ittle bit after. As stated above I've also used Clen for the same reasons plus a few more. I cant say I've physically seen or mentally felt a difference. Tests would have needed to be performed to give actual numbers.

For future use, I use Clen/LR3 for PCT in Cutters and the other mentioned supps for bulkers. Obviously my Serms and/or AI's as well.
