GQBouncer posted up some figures a while back that showed an average number of gun deaths per 1,000 people and the US rate was something like 50 times higher than the UK.
It's all very well having the right to bear arms and defend yourself but more guns = more gun deaths, it's not rocket science, trouble is that you guys are past the point of no return now, there are too many guns out there to change anything now.

Nice work Grappler. In the U.S. for 2001, there were 29,573 deaths from firearms. Suicide 16,869; Homicide 11,348; Accident 802; Legal Intervention 323; Undetermined 231. How sad is it that OVER half are suicide which in most cases if not all, can and should be prevented.

I went to South Africa years ago....and I can remember that it was the most dangerous place I've ever been to and I was in Russia as well. South Africa was a beautiful place but it seems like you needed an armed guard everywhere you went. The police have it so rough out there.

But take into consideration that 90%(no joke) of the people getting shot in Toronto are black men between the ages of 19-25yrs of age it really gets me thinking(I myself a 21 year old black man)..... I have a astronomically higher chance of being shot than the avg joe WTF is up??

Lets do the math (since their are only 100,000 black men living in toronto and thats not even in the age range specified so think about that for a minute)

take the data for what its worth chances are if your a white kid living in the "burbs" or anywhere in Toronto for that matter you shouldnt be losing any sleep over this type of shit.
