Can someone post here the long-term side-effects of aromatase inhibitor Anastrozole (arimidex)? I plan to take this drug long-term (10 years or more) and would like to know if it is dangerous.

Do you have cancer or gyno?
Give us some more info. Why ten years ? Are you self diagnosed ?
No im just planning in case my bloodwork returned above normal estrogen levels. I am on Testosterone Replacement Theraphy for life and in 2 more weeks I should know my estrogen levels, if it goes above normal then I will be on anastrozole for life as well.
I had gyne before but was removed via lypo which left some glands on my chest, I am afraid excess estrogen from my TRT will cause my breast to grow back. That is why I am thinking of taking Anastrozole. I got my anastrozole powders from China and have already covnverted it into liquid oral solution and is sitting on the fridge.
Of course I am following guidelines of Doctors, I woudn't drop my estrogen levels to 0 as it is dangerous to lipid profiles. I am planning on a normal estrogen level, not too low and not over the top. And I will use anastrozole to control my estrogen levels, perhaps I will start with a low dose 0.25mg every third day. I know anastrozole will also take away much of my bloating too. Are there long term consequences to this regimen?
How much Test do they have you on ? Its normally around 100mg a week, that should not cause any problems with Estrogen levels
