Arnold was not 240 lbs, despite what people say

I know this for a fact, he was never 240 lbs at any Olympia event. The movie Pumping Iron made it out to look like Schwarzenegger was 230's, 240 ish on stage. Well at the 1975 Mr. Olympia he was no more than 215, I know this for a fact. My freind grew up and trained out in Venice beach, Ken Waller had actually bet Arnold one day that he was no more than 215. He said Arnold got on the scale and jumped right off, losing the $100 bet to Kenny. I found this to be very interesting and thought to share. So my thoughts are if Arnold was just over 6' and in the lower 200's, then myself at 5'9" would look awesome around 210-220 ripped. So that is my new goal. I'm 232 right now, by the end of summer I want to be around 210 sliced.

Yes, but it makes you wonder if there was any lying going on to hype up the competition.

Well, he did not have that much legs but still had 58cm arms do you have that? That's 22,6 inches arms so he was not that small, he had a cool physice.

Also, for all the years he did train and the fact being 6,1 109kg's/240lbs is not that much.

nah i find that hard to believe. at 6'1 and with his upper body, he MUST have been over 215. but still, 5'9 at 210 sliced would definately look awesome. im 5'8 or 5'9, and plan on getting to 210 with 10% bodyfat before im 25, which gives me 4 yearsto gain about 35lbs of muscle and lose about 5lbs of fat

Not buyin that for being about 6'2" which is my height he was well over 210-215 no way he would look that good with only weighing in the low 200's

I would give him 240. Stacked you prolly have bigger legs than Arnie so you have to remember that also lol. But I seriously doubt he was 210 or 215. I mean that makes me bigger than Arnold, I dont see that being possible.

your physique/build is alot more than simply your weight. It's not a direct correlation.

no way i believe he was 215 at the '75 olympia. he might have been 215 from the waist up.

I wouldn't sat that. I would say they were slightly dis-proportional to his upper body. I would say though that compared to the legs of BB'ers today he didn't have legs.

He is about 6' 0" tall. I met him at a book signing many years ago. I'm 6' 2" tall and I was taller than him for sure. I would guess his weight to be about 240lbs though.

I saw Arnold once when I was around 16 years old. I was around 5'9" and close to Arnold's height. My father is 6'2" and definitely much taller than Arnold.

I would say that Arnold is definitely no taller than 5'11"... I know he claims to be 6'2", but that's BS. Stallone claims to be 5'11" but he's definitely not that tall...

was it kenny skersic? I trained with him in CA and he and arnold were best friends for a short time.

why all this confusion about bodybuilder's height?
Is it so hard to stand next to a measuring tape?
